The Scientific and Organising Committee would like to thank everyone who attended the 4th EMEC, as well as the congress sponsors. We hope to see you at the next EMEC.
It is the great pleasure of the Scientific and Organising Committee (SOC) to welcome you to the 4th East Mediterranean Epilepsy Congress, jointly organised by the International League Against Epilepsy and the International Bureau for Epilepsy. We have no doubt that you will find this congress to be a truly rewarding experience.
The Scientific and Organising Committee has created an excellent programme, building on the success of the previous EMECs. Our diverse programme, with the participation of renowned international and regional faculty, includes lectures and sessions on a broad range of topics central to the treatment and care of people with epilepsy, as well as oral and poster presentations and satellite symposia. There will be ample time for discussion and to interact with speakers. A pre-congress educational course on multiple sclerosis, as well as a teaching course on Basic EEG complements the main congress programme.
This congress is a great opportunity for our region to disseminate information about epilepsy and to improve the care of people with epilepsy. Make sure to attend the platform session and to visit the poster area to hear and read about the latest research and data on epilepsy from throughout the region and further afield.
